Ron Lara is a seasoned Senior Wealth Advisor with over 49 years of financial, tax and investment planning experience. His areas of focus include retirement planning and investment management, tax-efficient investment strategies and charitable planning strategies.

Ron created and service marked two powerful investment strategy processes: The Lifetime Success Solution® and The Retirement Success Solution®. These financial planning programs help clients create a base plan targeted towards achieving their goals. In 2011, Ron authored the book The Retirement Success Solution & Lessons I Learned from the Past Bear Market, which details the necessary steps to reach one’s retirement goals.

Education & Philanthropy

Ron is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. Following his graduation, he served as Assistant District Engineer for Humble Oil and Refining Company until 1969. He then served in the United States Army from 1969 until 1971. After his military service, Ron moved back to the Washington, DC area to begin his career in the financial services industry.

His numerous charitable affiliations have included memberships on the Board of Directors for the Fairfax Library Foundation and the Claude Moore Colonial Farm at Turkey Run. He is currently on the board of Joe Gibbs’ Youth for Tomorrow (YFT) organization and the Summit County Colorado Community Care Clinic.

Ron is a native of the Washington, DC metropolitan area and currently resides in Breckenridge, Colorado. He is married with five children and eight grandchildren. In his free time, Ron enjoys skiing, snowmobiling, biking, tennis and attempting golf.
